Arzoon Inc. recently acquired the assets of Vigilance Inc., which markets business-process management software designed to provide real-time detection, analysis, collaboration and resolution of supply-chain events.

Arzoon plans to offer Vigilance's solution as an optional component of transportation supply-chain management software suite Arzoon LIFE™.

"Real-time exception management capabilities have become a critical component to proactively managing events that can affect the bottom-line in the supply chain," said Arzoon President and Chief Executive Officer Bill Sickler in a prepared statement. "By combining [the] LIFE platform with the market leading real-time exception management capabilities of Vigilance, we are helping our customers achieve value through increased supply-chain velocity and performance."

By extending LIFE's event-monitoring capabilities and analytic functions, Arzoon can help customers reduce their transportation costs and inventories, improve customer service, and integrate security and trade compliance, Arzoon officials believe.

The LIFE suite includes Arzoon® FastTrack Rail Manager and Arzoon® Rail Rate Manager, which are designed to streamline the process of rail-shipment sourcing, execution, tracking and payment settlement.

Canadian Pacific Railway, CSX Corp., Norfolk Southern Corp and Union Pacific Corp. are investors in Arzoon.
