Bruder reelected as CN chair

CN shareholders elected 11 individuals as directors of the board at the annual meeting held yesterday.

Shauneen Bruder was elected unanimously as chair, a position she's held since April 2017. Bruder is the retired executive vice president of operations at the Royal Bank of Canada.

Also elected to CN's board are: Jo-ann dePass Olsovsky, retired EVP and chief information officer at Salesforce.com; David Freeman, former EVP of operations at BNSF Railway Co.; Denise Gray, director of external affairs and government relations, North America, of LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc., U.S.; and Justin Howell, senior investment manager of Cascade Asset Management Co.

In addition, the following are elected: Susan Jones, retired EVP and CEO of the potash business unit at Nutrien Ltd.; Robert Knight, retired chief financial officer at Union Pacific Corp.; Michel Letellier, president and CEO of Innergex Renewal Energy Inc.; Margaret McKenzie, founder and former CFO of Range Royalty Management Ltd.; Al Monaco, retired president and CEO of Enbridge Inc.; and Tracy Robinson, president and CEO of CN.
