On Aug. 25, CANAC Inc. announced it recently opened a new U.S. headquarters in Washington, D.C., which consolidates several smaller regional locations. The supplier currently maintains U.S. offices in Houston and Pittsburgh.

The headquarters will provide a corporate focus for all of CANAC’s businesses, and serve as a center for the company's growing U.S. engineering, planning and infrastructure services, according to a prepared statement.

CANAC named Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Kevin Haugh the location's senior executive.

Founded in 1971, CANAC offers knowledge-based products and services — including BELTPACK® locomotive remote-control systems — to North American freight and passenger railroads, industries operating their own railroads, investors and governments.
