Rail News: Railroading Supplier Spotlight
The Government of Trinidad and Tobago recently awarded a contract to Parsons Brinckerhoff to prepare a national transportation plan for the Caribbean island.
Encompassing all modes of land, air and sea transportation, the 20-year plan will be comprised of an immediate two-year program, two five-year stages and a final eight-year, long-term program.
The plan will include recommendations on how the government can improve transportation infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness, and provide a training program for local personnel and a short-term work program.
Parsons Brinckerhoff is responsible for developing and implementing the entire program. Planning is expected to be complete in mid-2005.
