Rail News: Railroading Supplier Spotlight
Fleet-management software provider IntelliTrans L.L.C. recently acquired the assets of Calgary, Alberta-based RADSS Technologies Inc., which offers supply-chain performance-management software, artificial intelligence and Web-based products designed for bulk-commodity transportation.
The transaction will help IntelliTrans expand its product line and customer base, according to a prepared statement.
RADSS' software is designed to track rail cars in yards, trace rail shipments, and manage fleet maintenance and repair.
IntelliTrans currently offers Intellit Fleet Management Service, which is used by railroads, shippers and government agencies to daily monitor more than 100,000 North America rail cars. Customers include Canadian National Railway Co., Canadian Pacific Railway, CSX Transportation, Norfolk Southern Railway, StoraEnso Paper, Georgia-Pacific Corp. and Weyerhaeuser Corp.
