The Los Angeles - San Diego - San Luis Obispo (LOSSAN) Rail Corridor Agency yesterday announced a partnership with Icomera to provide Pacific Surfliner riders with updated Wi-Fi service as part of the agency's efforts to accelerate its post-pandemic recovery.

The upgrade is part of LOSSAN’s overall strategy to enhance passenger amenities, including better rider communication, train status information and station upgrades. The reliability and speed of the onboard Wi-Fi service will be increased via Icomera’s X-Series Mobile Gateway, which will allow 35% to 52% more devices to connect to the network and delivery 34% to 48% more data per trip, Icomera officials said in a press release.

"We know the importance of providing stable Wi-Fi for our passengers," said LOSSAN Managing Director Donna DeMartino.
