NYCT contracts iVoice to install speech recognition system

MTA New York City Transit will install iVoice Inc.’s Interactive Voice Response (IVR) to provide employees an automated phone system to report sick days.
IVR prompts callers to state their location number, tour of duty, regular days off, a phone number where they can be reached, and when they plan to leave for or return from destinations other than home.
The system also will update the agency’s computer system and maintain an electronic recording of reports.
