Portec Rail joins Russell's newly formed small-cap index

Today, Portec Rail Products Inc. announced it joined the Russell Microcap™ Index, which debuted July 1.
The index comprises the smallest 1,000 securities in the small-cap Russell 2000™ Index and the next smallest 1,000 companies, based on a ranking of all U.S equities by market capitalization.
“Our inclusion will assist in helping raise our company’s profile at the institutional level,” said Michael Bornak, Portec Rail vice president of finance and chief financial officer, in a prepared statement.
Portec Rail supplies rail joints and anchors, spikes, friction-management products, and wayside data collection, data management and load securement systems.
