A. Stucki Co. announced Ron Port has been appointed CEO. He succeeds John O’Bryan, who led the company since 2021. Previously, Port was president of the aerospace, defense and marine business unit at TE Connectivity. “Ron brings more than 20 years of experience in successfully scaling, optimizing and guiding specialized engineered products and services companies,” said Stellex Capital Management Principal Olivia Zhao in a press release. Stellex is A. Stucki’s parent company.

Cornerstone Systems today announced the promotion of Matt Miller to senior vice president of intermodal strategy. He will spearhead the company’s intermodal division, driving growth and innovation across Cornerstone’s premium intermodal services. A Cornerstone employee since 2014, Miller’s “proven track record in sales and intermodal operations, coupled with his strong relationships within the rail industry, has been instrumental in the company’s success,” according to a Cornerstone press release. Previously, he's held roles in the intermodal divisions of Schneider National and Knight Transportation.

Miner Enterprises Inc. has reached a milestone with its friction cushioning systems. The Miner FCS is now installed on nearly 10,000 rail cars with a combined 400 million miles traveled. The FCS use Miner’s draft gear technology to achieve greater slack management, increased draft protection and better control over run-in and run-out events. This results in reductions in train consist restrictions, fewer unplanned service interruptions and improved operations on the network, according to a Miner press release.
