Advent eModal, provider of the eModal® suite of applications that simplify and accelerate the flow of cargo across the intermodal supply chain, announced the successful deployment of its Intermodal Manager™ rail solution at Genesee & Wyoming’s Birmingham and Cardiff terminals in the United Kingdom. These terminals mark the first implementations of eModal at intermodal rail facilities and Advent eModal’s first installations in Europe.

TekTracking LLC announced the successful implementation of its inaugural Commander Terminal Automation system on a Canadian Class I. Commander is a modern control and communication platform specifically designed to vastly reduce the support costs demanded by legacy radio control technology suppliers.

Woolpert has been contracted by the Metropolitan Atlanta Regional Transit Authority to provide traditional and geospatial survey services for design, construction and facility enhancement projects. Services will include terrestrial lidar and mobile mapping, photogrammetry, unmanned aircraft system data and imagery collection, building information modeling, subsurface utility engineering and hydrographic surveying. The three-year contract has a two-year option and a total value of $5 million.

The Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers has named TRAC Intermodal as the best overall chassis provider in the Port of New York and New Jersey for the fourth time in the past six years. Bi-State Chairman Tom Heimgartner presented James Bowe, senior vice president and chief commercial officer at TRAC Intermodal, with the 2021 award at Bi-State’s annual luncheon held Sept. 15.

Julie Green, vice president of Hatch LTK's New York region, is among those being nationally honored by the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) for outstanding contributions to America’s transportation industry. COMTO will recognize Green and 12 others during a ceremony at COMTO’s virtual national meeting and training conference to be held Sept. 28-30.
