Rail supplier news from Bourque Logistics, AllTranstek and Cathcart Rail (Jan. 30)

Bourque Logistics and AllTranstek, two industrial rail service providers, have merged, combining their services into one comprehensive service offering to customers. Bourque’s logistics and freight systems are used by over 150 North American rail shippers, said company officials in a press release. AllTranstek’s asset management applications assist customers with fleet management, compliance and accounting. Combined, the two companies will offer car selection, billing and monitoring services, automated inspection and payment systems.

Cathcart Rail has been selected as the repair, inspection and mechanical services partner for Portland & Western Railroad’s 478-mile network as of December 2024. The team of 13 carmen and site and regional managers handles the inspection and repair of defects at all the railroad’s major Oregon yards, Cathcart Rail officials in said a press release.
