Rail supplier news from Cathcart Rail and Michael Baker (Dec. 5)

Cathcart Rail has been tapped by TGS Cedar Port Railroad to handle rail-car inspection and repairs. Cathcart provides the services at TGS’s 15,000-acre industrial park in Baytown, Texas, which interchanges more than 45,000 inbound rail cars per year. In April, Cathcart began operations as the sponsored repair agent for TGS with a team of 12 carmen and site and regional management, with support from corporate personnel and training staff.

Michael Baker International announced Todd McIntyre has been named vice president to lead the firm’s Santa Ana, California, operations. McIntyre has 23 years of experience in the public and private sectors. Most recently, he was VP at AtkinsRealis. Earlier in his career, he served as chief strategy officer for Metrolink, chief of staff for the District Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C., and western regional team lead for the Office of Railroad Policy and Development at the Federal Railroad Administration.
