Cummins Inc. named Melina Kennedy vice president of product compliance and regulatory affairs. In the newly created role, Kennedy will oversee engine emission certification, product compliance and regulations for Cummins products, company officials said in a press release. Kennedy has led various Cummins business markets for the past six years. Most recently, Kennedy served as general manager and executive director of the pickup truck business. Prior to that, she led the rail and defense business.

Logistec Corp. named Michel Miron executive vice president of Gulf Stream Marine Inc. (GSM) to oversee all operational management and commercial activities at the company’s Gulf Coast port terminals. Miron has 30 years of experience in the marine and transportation industry and 20 years as a member of Logistec Stevedoring's senior leadership team, most recently serving as VP, company officials said in a press release.

Masabi and NEORide announced it will launch the EZfare mobile ticketing application on the Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar later this month. EZfare is a cashless, multi-agency, fare payment solution, Masabi officials said in a press release.

VisioStack Inc. entered into an agreement with Grupo EFE to provide the Chilean passenger and freight railway with data management and analytics services through its RailLinks® Infrastructure platform. The cloud-based platform enables users to import Big Data from sensor streams and convert it into actionable information through artificial intelligence and predictive data science. The platform will enable Grupo to transition to a data-driven maintenance strategy, VisioStack officials said in a press release.

Precision Products partnered with Microdrones to become a distributor of the company’s drone surveying products. Precision Products will offer the Microdrones Integrated Systems, which includes a bundle of products needed to get a commercial users started with using drones for surveying.

The Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) is offering one $15,000 scholarship for a REMSA member employee pursing a continuing education program. The scholarship is being offered to positively affect the future of the rail construction and maintenance industry by supporting REMSA member employees’ education, association officials said in a press release. The application deadline is Nov. 1.
