Duos Technologies Group Inc. appointed Christopher King chief commercial officer of subsidiary Duos Technologies Inc. He has more than 20 years of operational and commercial leadership experience in the energy and supply-chain sectors. King most recently held a series of progressive management roles at APR Energy, leading all power plant operations, managing acquisition integrations and maintaining profit or loss accountability for the company. He previously served in several operational leadership positions at CEVA Logistics, including lean six sigma leader.

Koppers Holdings Inc. agreed to a contract amendment with a Class I customer as part of its ongoing efforts to control rising costs. The amendment will extend the current term of the agreement from 2026 to 2030 and incorporate favorable pricing adjustments, Koppers officials said in a press release. The company now has reached similar agreements including increased pricing with four Class Is. “Significant unexpected inflation and supply-chain shocks, exacerbated by the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, put our rail business in an untenable situation with long-term supply contracts in place that provided only partial relief,” said Koppers Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer James Sullivan.

HDR has named Matthew Tucker global transit director. He will be responsible for more than 600 global transit employees who help provide a portfolio of services tailored to passenger-rail, subway, streetcar and bus systems. From 2008 to 2023, Tucker was the CEO of the North County Transit District in San Diego. He previously served as the executive director of the Virginia Department of Rail & Public Transportation, chief operating officer of the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, deputy public transit director for the city of Phoenix, and deputy general manager of the Greater Richmond Transit Company. Tucker currently chairs the American Public Transportation Association’s legislative committee.

Rick Clary has joined A. Stucki Co. as vice president of human resources (HR). He has more than 20 years of senior HR management experience. Most recently, Clary was the senior HR director for global operations for The Lubrizol Corp. Prior to that, he was HR director for the aerospace group at Parker Hannifin Corp. Clary also has served in various HR positions at such companies as Pepsi, Stanley Tools and General Electric.

Railinc’s TransmetriQ has added program maintenance and shop locator functionalities to its asset management offerings. The modules facilitate an integrated process for fleet maintenance strategic planning, shop identification and repair work initiation, said officials at TransmetriQ — which provides rail management software — in a press release. The new maintenance planning and shop locator tools consider fleet location, current status and user-defined requirements to identify an optimal time and place for repairs and maintenance, they said.

The League of Railway Women (LRW) has launched a new mentorship program to provide members additional benefits. The program will offer opportunities to share industry knowledge; obtain leadership, networking, presentation and communication skills; participate in problem-solving practices, collaboration and innovation tactics; and learn more about adaptability and proactivity. After a pilot mentorship program was conducted in 2021, LRW has invested in the MentorCity platform, which allows participants to create personal profiles used to match mentors with mentees and more easily schedule one-on-one mentoring sessions.
