Rail News: Railroading Supplier Spotlight
Rail supplier news from Duos Technologies and STV (May 19)
Information Systems Associates Inc. (ISA) subsidiary Duos Technologies has obtained a contract for the first phase of a Rail Undercarriage Screening System research grant funded by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The contract is the first phase of an effort to advance the company's current technology used for freight-car undercarriage screening to one that can be used for mass transportation rail systems. The company anticipates the project will expand the capabilities of Duo Technologies' vehicle undercarriage examiner known as vue™. Part of the firm's rail inspection portal technology, the system utilizes proprietary analytical algorithms to process and evaluate data from multiple sensor technologies.
