Granite Construction has secured a $22 million contract from Metrolink for its Moreno Valley/March Field Station track and platform expansion project. The expanded facility will offer increased capacity for riders, reducing highway congestion going into downtown Los Angeles, Granite officials said in a press release. The existing platform will be extended and a new platform will be constructed with a steel canopy on the opposite side of the tracks. Granite will install 10,800 linear feet of rail, replace ties and reconstruct 2,700 linear feet of track. The project is expected to begin in June and end in third-quarter 2023.

HDR Inc. has hired Chip Knowlton as the firm's infrastructure consulting business transformation director. He will advise the company’s public- and private-sector clients as they transform their teams and processes to address the challenges of creating and maintaining new infrastructure development, according to an HDR press release. Knowlton's background in advisory services includes infrastructure enterprise asset management, business transformations and industrial account portfolio management. Previously, he was executive program manager for enterprise asset management at MTA New York City Transit.
