HDR Inc. has named Buzz Berger railway design leader, a role that functions as the senior technical adviser for the company’s freight-rail services. In the role, Berger will lead quality assurance, resource availability and development, as well as project delivery for HDR’s freight-rail work. Berger has been with HDR for nearly a decade and will continue his work on major projects for clients as a senior project manager, working out of the firm's office in Walnut Creek, California.

Enerpac has strengthened its service to the rail industry with the acquisition of Track Tools technology. The purchase is part of Enerpac’s renewed focus on providing fully integrated solutions for railroads globally. Under the agreement, Enerpac gains exclusive worldwide rights to the Track Tools brand, its track maintenance products and the ability to leverage Track Tools expertise in rail maintenance, Enerpac officials said in a press release.

WAGO has hired Dustin Reid to take over as regional sales manager for Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas. After studying electrical engineering at Iowa State, Reid spent 17 years at Ames Engineering as a product manager and general manager. He spent the past couple of years in the industrial automation industry.
