Harsco Corp. Vice President of Tax and Risk Management Michael Kolinsky has assumed the role of corporate treasurer, succeeding Robert Yocum, who retired. In his expanded role, Kolinsky will assume responsibility for global treasury operations, capital market activities, and bank and agency relationships. Also, Harsco promoted Daniel King to assistant treasurer; he will report to Kolinsky.

Virginia Railway Express (VRE) chose GlobeSherpa to provide a complete, end-to-end mobile phone ticketing software system for riders. When the new ticket system launches, VRE customers will be able to purchase and use commuter-rail tickets with just a few clicks on their smartphone, according to a GlobeSherpa press release.

Ricardo Inc. will participate in a strategic partnership led by Florida EMMI — a wholly owned subsidiary of American Maglev Technology Inc. — to deliver the first commercial Maglev rail project in North America. The Florida Department of Transportation chose Florida EMMI for a project connecting the Orlando International Airport and the Orange County Convention Center. Led by EMMI, the partnership includes AMT, Spanish construction conglomerate ACS Industrial North America, Ricardo Inc. and several local Orlando-based companies.

Lilee Systems announced Dave Gove joined the company to lead business development. His primary focus will be to identify product and technology adoption opportunities for strategic growth in freight railroads. Gove has more than 15 years of rail industry experience. For the past six years, he has been developing CTC/PTC systems infrastructure for TPSC/ARMS, a provider of distribution and system integration for the railroad industry.
