Hitachi Rail launched new innovations this week as part of an enhanced offer to freight railroads and passenger-rail operators at the Railway Systems Supplies Inc. (RSSI) C&S Exhibition being held in Indianapolis. Four of the key innovations and solutions that Hitachi Rail will be displayed include the improved Model 95-E gate crossing mechanism; a new offer of signal design and material packages; a new Vital Onboard Train Control platform; and the advanced ViPro® Vital Processor.

L.B. Foster’s Rail Technologies and Services business has appointed Jason Bowlin vice president of global friction management. Bowlin will lead administrative, product development, and commercial areas of the business. Most recently, he served as VP of rail products for the past two years and prior to that was general manager of the company’s transit products business.

TTX Co. has promoted of Shannon Bagato to vice president of law and general counsel, effective Oct. 1. She will succeed Patrick Loftus, senior VP of law and administration, who is retiring after 35 years of service with the company. Baguette has been in-house counsel at TTX for nearly 20 years in roles of increasing responsibility, including her promotion to assistant VP in February 2018 and corporate secretary in March. In her new role, she will lead legal, corporate secretary, corporate compliance and government affairs efforts.
