Hub Group Inc. has sold its Mode Transportation LLC subsidiary to an affiliate of York Capital Management for $238.5 million. The sale does not include the Temstar business. Although Hub Group has reported success with the Mode subsidiary, there was a "lack of strategic alignment with Hub's centralized business model," said Hub Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David Yeager in a press release. Mode is a non-asset-based third-party logistics company delivering truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, rail, ocean, air and managed transportation services.The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has chosen Greystone Management Solutions to provide real estate management services for a five-year term. Services will include account management, construction management, accounting and collections, insurance compliance and dispute resolution. The MTA's portfolio consists of 4,000 occupancies that include retail agreements, utility right-of-way agreements, parking agreements and easements stretching from Montauk to Poughkeepsie, New York, according to a Greystone press release.Ondas Networks Inc. has hired Wayne Tatro as an adviser focusing on strategy and business development for its new transportation business unit. The new division is dedicated to mission critical Internet of Things applications in rail and transit, according to an Ondas press release. Tatro has more than 35 years of experience in transportation, including stints at Class Is, transit agencies and GE Transportation.ALLU Group Inc. has named Darrin Harn territory sales manager for the Midwest. Based in Wisconsin, he will develop field sales and work with the company's Midwest dealers. Harn previously served as a territory manager for ALLU from 2006 to 2011. He has decades of construction and agricultural sales experience, ALLU officials said in a press release.CTC Inc. Senior Traffic Engineer Nicole Jackson has joined the Institute of Transportation Engineers' (ITE) Joint Rail Grade Crossing Committee. Jackson recently served as a panel member for a session at the institute's annual meeting and exhibition in Minneapolis. The committee's goal is to develop and apply best practices for grade crossing design and safety.
