Industrial Nanotech Inc. has reached an agreement with a railroad tank car owner to provide thermal insulation for the tank cars the company owns and operates. Additional details on the new partner will be disclosed in an upcoming joint press release, Nanotech officials said. The initial focus will be on 9,300 cars.

Railroad Software and Automated Rail announced a strategic partnership aimed at tapping into new technologies and markets, as well as continuing their joint mission to bring innovation to the railroad industry. Railroad Software will continue to focus and provide software solutions, while Automated Rail will focus on automatic equipment identification (AEI) solutions and various hardware components. Automated Rail has identified a need in the railroad AEI market for cost-effective solutions, according to a press release.

EnviroServe, a Savage company, has acquired the business and assets of Chemical Transportation Inc., a specialized waste transportation and environmental services company with operations in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. The acquisition adds four locations across the Southwest and more than 65 experienced team members to EnviroServe’s nationwide network. EnviroServe provides environmental services to various industries, including rail.
