Koppers Inc. announced Stephen Lucas has joined the company as vice president of culture and engagement. He will lead the recruitment, development and retention of top talent; advance inclusion and diversity efforts; and enhance the overall employee experience, according to a company press release. Most recently, Lucas served as global division VP of human resources at AMETEK Inc. He has nearly 30 years of experience in HR strategy, talent development, employee engagement and inclusion and diversity. Lucas will maintain offices in Chicago and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

AllTranstek LLC has hired Preston Messer to join its inspection staff, covering the Louisiana and the southern Texas area. Messer has 12 years of management and training experience. Most recently, he served as plant manager at Eagle Rail Services in Channelview, Texas. He has experience in cleaning, coating, testing and contract shop processes. AllTranstek manages over 275,000 rail cars of all types for some of North America’s largest companies.
