The League of Railway Women has retained Forius Association Management Services to manage the staffing resources and support for executive, administrative and finance activities. Leslie Thomas of Forius will provide oversight as LRW's executive director. "To manage our individual membership and corporate partnership growth plan for a sustainable and strategic focused future, and continue to provide opportunities to connect and cultivate women in rail and promote diversity in our industry, we need more support staff and additional expertise to help us,” said LRW President Amanda Trainor Patrick in a press release.
Alstom has signed an agreement to deliver up to 50 third-generation electric Traxx locomotives to Belgium’s Societe Nationale des Chemins de Fer Belges for use on its passenger services. The units will be used for domestic and cross-border trips on electrified networks in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany. The first firm order, worth around 120 million euros, covers the design, manufacturing and homologation of 24 locomotives. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2026.
HDR Inc. has been recognized as Employer of the Year by WTS Colorado. The group, which promotes the advancement of women in transportation, presented the award to HDR at the chapter’s annual awards luncheon held Jan. 27.
