Pandrol has appointed Nicolas Groult CEO and an executive committee member of parent company Groupe Delachaux. Groult has more than 25 years of experience at international companies, many in the industrial sector. Most recently, he worked for aerospace, defense and energy company Parker Meggitt Group as senior vice president and general manager of power and sensing. Groult will report to Groupe Delachaux CEO Guy Talbourdet.

RailState has added Dean Wise to its board of advisers. Founder of strategy advisory firm Dean Wise LLC, Wise has expertise in deploying transformational technologies to enhance supply-chain efficiency in the transportation, logistics, infrastructure and geospatial sectors, RailState officials said in a press release. Previously, he served as VP of network strategy at BNSF Railway Co.

Alstom signed a seven-year operations and maintenance services contract with Newark Liberty International Airport. Under the contract valued at 250 million euros, Alstom will be responsible for 24-hour train operations and dispatching and maintenance of the fleet, station doors, guideways, power distribution systems, car wash, signaling systems and facilities. Alstom will operate 15 Innovia monorail trains of six cars each serving six stations along 3 miles of elevated track.

Duos Technologies Inc. has secured $1.1 million in existing contract modifications to install its rail-car inspection portal product for a passenger-rail customer. The technology is designed to analyze fast-moving vehicles and is able to capture images at up to 125 mph. Duos anticipates the technology to come online later this year.

AITX has hired Robert Gibson as environmental, health and safety manager for the company's repair network. Gibson has 20 years of experience overseeing the well being of workers for rail-car repair, steel fabrication, mining and heavy construction compannies. Most recently, he was environmental, health and safety manager at Cathcart Rail.

IntelliTrans has been honored with a 2023 Cloud Computing Product of the Year Award from TMC's Cloud Computing magazine. The award recognizes vendors with the most innovative, functional and beneficial cloud products and services to deploy within the past year. IntelliTrans was recognized for its Global Supply Chain Visibility Platform, which is designed to manage shipments from origin to destination to improve the customer experience.
