R&A Railroad Consultants—Railroad Recycling Experts was launched Dec. 23 by Robert Fuller, who has 44 years of experience in the rail industry. The firm will support sustainability in the rail industry by working with Class Is, short lines and contractors to collect and process all track waste, including ties, R&A officials said in a press release. Those materials will be recycled for other rail or construction use.

Rail Vision Ltd. has received approval for the installation of its MainLine Systems technology on Israel Railways’ passenger locomotives. The approval also triggers an immediate $300,000 payment to Rail Vision. MainLine Systems is designed to improve obstacle detection and classification technology, mitigating collision risks. “We have met the strict certification standard, which aims to enable Israel Railways’ future plans of high-volume procurement of Rail Vision products and services,” said Rail Vision CEO Shahar Hania in a press release.
