The Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) last week announced that Zach Hansen and Mike Pier have been elected to two-year terms as directors. Hansen is assistant vice president of sales for Rocla Concrete Tie Inc.-Vossloh North America, and Pier is VP and general manager of roadway work equipment for Nordco/Wabtec. Their terms will begin Jan. 1, 2022. They were elected during REMSA’s recent annual meeting, which took place virtually.
Bruce Harmon of Harmon Communications last week announced his retirement after 48 years of media service associated with freight-car builders and transportation companies. His career included handling public relations and advertising for FreightCar America, The Greenbrier Cos. and its predecessors. Harmon plans to spend his retirement on travel, autocross car racing and cycling, he said in an email to media and rail-industry officials.
