RailPulse has entered into a 10-year agreement with Railinc to develop, maintain and operate RailPulse’s technology platform for monitoring rail-car location, condition and health characteristics across North American supply chains. The partnership will enable the RailPulse coalition to deploy its remote monitoring platform on schedule in late 2022, according to a joint press release. Railinc will also help implement data management protocols, as well as integrate rail-car telematics device data into RailPulse’s backend systems.

Keolis has begun operating and maintaining the new tram network in Odense, Denmark, on behalf of Odense Letbane. The new tram line — the city’s first — is located on the island of Funen. The launch follows the award of a 15-year operation and maintenance contract by the city’s transport authority in November 2018. The 9-mile tram line has 26 stations and is expected to serve 10 million to 11 million riders annually.

Mi-Jack Products Inc., a manufacturer of rubber-tired gantry cranes, container-handling machinery and technology for port and intermodal facilities, has acquired Yardeye GmbH, a Germany-based automation, collision avoidance and work-zone protection provider for the port and rail container industries. Yardeye's radio frequency identification and GNSS-based equipment, personnel real-time locating system and collision avoidance system fit into Mi-Jack's Mi-Star® technology platform. With its expanded footprint, Mi-Jack will provide support and service to Yardeye customers in North America and Mi-Star technology solutions to ports and terminals across Europe, company officials said in a press release.

L.B. Foster Co. has been awarded RAVS Plus® recognition by ISNetworld, a global safety compliance group. RAVS is a safety compliance standard used to verify the effectiveness of health and safety programs. Participation in the RAVS Plus program is by invitation only and recognizes a company for outstanding commitment to safety, L.B. Foster officials said in a press release.

Transdev North America has promoted Sean Powers from the business development team to senior director of operations performance management. Powers joined Transdev in 2019. He launched Mobility Options, Transdev's new line of business that focuses on Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) eligibility. He's nationally recognized for his knowledge of ADA, public transit accessibility, paratransit and ADA paratransit eligibility and mobility management, Transdev officials said in a press release.
