Railhead Corp. has recently completed the shipment of 200 high-definition onboard video systems to New Jersey Transit. The addition of these systems provides NJ Transit with the latest video technology as well as access to crucial operational and system information. Railhead’s new LDVRHD-12 video system and fleet-wide tracking router will enable the transit agency’s management to respond to situations and incidents quickly while maintaining the highest level of safety and service for their riders, Railhead officials said in a press release.
Stanley Infrastructure and RailPod Inc. have formed a strategic partnership that combines Stanley’s products and service with RailPod’s track and infrastructure inspection, enterprise software and hardware technologies. "Partnering with Stanley Black & Decker to support the global deployment of RailPod's track inspection technology and related services will help us bring infrastructure owners and managers the ability to more precisely determine where capital dollars need to be spent," said RailPod Chief Executive Officer Brendan English in a press release.

The National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association's (NRC) 2021 Scholarship Program is accepting applications until Sept. 30. The NRC offers tuition assistance to children or grandchildren of NRC member company employees. This year, three total scholarships will be awarded as follows: the first place applicant will receive $12,000, the second place applicant will receive $6,000, and the third place applicant will receive $3,000.
