Rail supplier news from STV Inc., TransRail Innovation and Formation Liquids (April 20)

STV Inc. has promoted Bruce Jennings to vice president. An engineering director, Jennings will continue to focus on STV’s expansion of transportation services in the Midwest region, as well as growing the scope and scale of its construction management services for projects with new and existing clients in the Chicago area. Jennings joined STV in 2005 and has served as project director on initiatives such as the construction management of a number of projects for the Chicago Transit Authority.

TransRail Innovation Group (TRIG) of Calgary, Alberta, has acquired Formation Liquids Logistics Ltd. (FLLL). Financial terms were not disclosed. Marvin Trimble, co-founder of FLLL, has joined TRIG as the vice president of rail technology and improvement. Acquiring FLLL amplifies TRIG’s ability to create innovative solutions to help companies ship commodities in more safe and efficient ways, TRIG officials said in a press release. TRIG is the only electronics manufacturer in North America certified by the Association of American Railroads to develop and deploy digital technology that penetrates the closure of tank cars.
