Rail supplier news from STV and Littlepay (March 22)

STV Inc. yesterday joined the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority to mark the opening of the Green Line Extension (GLX). Revenue service has begun on the Union Square branch, the first of two segments to be completed on the $2.3 billion design-build project. STV serves as the lead designer for GLX as part of the design-build team led by a Fluor Corp./Middlesex Corp./Herzog Contracting Corp./Balfour Beatty joint venture.
The California Department of General Services has awarded payment service provider Littlepay a master service agreement to offer transit processor services through the California Integrated Travel Project’s Mobility Marketplace, camobilitymarketplace.org. The marketplace offers transit agencies a one-stop shop to buy from vendors whose products integrate with a modular solution for contactless open loop fare collection, Littlepay officials said in a press release.
