Semcon has signed a new agreement to support Talgo with digital maintenance documentation needed for the maintenance work of 23 new high-speed trains, which Talgo is manufacturing for Deutsche Bahn to operate on domestic and international routes in Germany. The three-year project calls for Semcon to provide expertise in optimized maintenance procedures for railway vehicles and sound systems.

Shift5 Inc., an operational technology cybersecurity company, has raised $50 million in a Series B round led by private equity and venture capital firm Insight Partners. Armed with the new capital, Shift5 will make significant investments in product development and new talent across all teams to keep pace with demand across transportation and national defense industries, Shift5 officials said in a press release.

WSP USA has hired Rick Curry as a national senior director and principal for the firm's systems analysis group. Curry will focus on travel demand modeling and forecasting in support of future and existing WSP highway and transit system analysis projects. For more than two decades, Curry has worked on public sector transportation projects as manager of transportation analysis and applications for the San Diego Association of Governments, and previously as a transportation modeler for the California Department of Transportation.
