Skanska has been awarded a contract by the New York State Department of Transportation to carry out the $635 million replacement of the Livingston Avenue Bridge in Albany. Serving as a critical passageway for Amtrak's Northeast Corridor between Albany and Rensselaer, the project is designed to improve safety, efficiency and passenger experience for rail and maritime operations. The new bridge will support higher-speed passenger and freight rail, as well as provide a pedestrian and cyclist shared-use path for safer and better access to cross the Hudson River.

STV has obtained a contract from the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System to support the replacement of five traction power substations (TPSS) crucial for powering the agency’s electric-powered trolley system. As the overall task lead and subconsultant to Chen Ryan Associates, STV will design plans to replace the existing TPSS, providing comprehensive systems, civil and structural engineering services for the traction power site layout design, substation building foundations and retaining walls.
