TA Services announced its acquisition of C2 Freight Resources, a brokerage specializing in dry-van, flatbed, temperature-controlled, expedited and less-than-truckload services based in Alabama. The acquisition accelerates TA Services' growth to over $600 million in revenue, 750 employees and two-dozen locations in North America, company officials said in a press release. C2 Freight was founded in 1998 and its customer base includes Fortune 500 companies involved in building materials, paper, animal products, food and beverages, packaging and consumer goods.

STV Inc. has selected Senior Vice President and Senior Program Manager Joe Marie to lead its Boston office. He will lead and support major pursuits and projects, mentor future project leaders and foster relationships with clients and teaming partners. Marie has 35 years of experience in rail and transit, and has worked on major transit-rail expansions and new starts in Boston, Minneapolis, New York City, Ontario, Phoenix and Pittsburgh. He is project director for STV's East Side Access project in New York City.

The National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC) has elected Chad Anderson and Gary Kohnert to its board. Anderson is senior vice president of operations at Terris Rail Maintenance LLC and Kohnert is director of North American sales at Loram Maintenance of Way. The two are filling the remainder of three-year terms of two prior board members who resigned.
