Thales' SelTrac subway signaling system has been installed on the Central Subway line connecting Sunnydale to Chinatown in San Francisco, which entered revenue service earlier this year. In 2014, Thales obtained the contract with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency for the design and construction of advanced train control technology for the subway project. The SelTrac system complements low life-cycle costs, increases revenue by moving more people more quickly and supports the city to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, according to a Thales press release.

Genesis Electronics Group Inc., the maker of the autonomous road-to-rail shipping technology Glid, announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with the Portland Vancouver Junction Railroad (PVJR) to evaluate Glid units on its rail lines. The partnership is the first in the United States to grant access to an autonomous and electric vehicle to move unaltered semitrailers on and off the rails, Genesis Electronics officials said in a press release. PVJR leases 33 miles of track from Clark County between Vancouver and Chelatchie, Washington.

Keolis North America is Latinos In Transit's newest business partner to drive opportunities for a more diverse workforce in public transit. Latinos In Transit and Keolis will leverage their industry networks to create opportunities for education, mentoring and professional development among multicultural employees, industry professionals and those seeking employment, Keolis officials said in a press release.
