Thales has been awarded three new contracts for the modernization of the signaling systems for the Cascais Line, West Line and Santa Apolonia Station in Lisbon.

Infraestruturas de Portugal awarded Thales with three new contracts for the modernization of the signaling systems for the Cascais Line, West Line and Santa Apolonia Station in Lisbon. The contracts call for new technologies that will help the agency optimize capacity and safety. Thales will be responsible for the design, validation, supply, installation, test and commissioning, safety, civil works and 10 years of maintenance. according to a press release.

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) has selected Huitt-Zollars Inc. to conduct an 18-month study to create a regional rail network masterplan as part of the three-year SEPTA general planning contract. Huitt-Zollars will examine service patterns, fares, equipment, stations, infrastructure and operations for  ways to integrate commuter-rail, heavy-rail, light-rail and bus networks.

STV has hired KiSeok Jeon as a vice president and director of digital transformation. In this new role, Jeon will advise clients on process improvements and best practices for using business applications and other architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) production tools. Prior to joining STV, Jeon served as a leader in the innovative and efficient execution of design and construction processes for a multinational AEC firm.
