Trainyard Tech LLC has received a purchase order from CSX to install the Classmaster™ hump yard process-control system at Avon Yard in Indianapolis, which has 55 classifications tracks. With the completion of the project, Classmaster PCS will be installed at all five of CSX's hump yards. Trainyard Tech supplied TyTReporter, which provides Avon Yard a full complement of calibration and performance statistics and analysis, according to a Trainyard Tech press release.

Thomas Rechner, CAM practice/construction observation resident project representative, recently rejoined Hanson Professional Services Inc. Working at the headquarters in Springfield, Illinois, he will provide construction management and construction observation for all phases of the new Springfield-Sangamon County Transportation Center, the first phase of which is building the Sangamon Mass Transit District transfer center. Amtrak trains will serve the transportation center.

Freese and Nichols Inc. has hired Travis Kelly, a policy leader with experience at all levels of government engagement, to help municipalities and other public entities navigate legislative and regulatory processes affecting their projects. Kelly has spent more than 13 years specializing in local, state and federal government affairs, including 10 years in leadership roles supporting the Dallas-Houston high-speed rail project in Texas. Progressive Railroading named Kelly a Rising Star in 2017.
