Wabtec Corp. announced new leadership appointments to take effect April 3: Pascal Schweitzer as president of Wabtec Transit; Lilian Leroux as chief strategy and sustainability officer; and Alicia Hammersmith as president of global freight services. Schweitzer will be responsible for the strategy and execution of Wabtec’s portfolio of transit products and services. Leroux will be responsible for leading the company’s strategy, sustainability initiatives and business development efforts. Hammersmith will oversee Wabtec’s services, upgrades and modernization programs. The appointments are being made to accelerate the long-term growth strategy in the company's services and transit businesses, as well as Wabtec's overall sustainability and business development initiatives, company officials said in a press release. All three appointees will report directly to Wabtec President and CEO Rafael Santana.

RATP Dev USA named Ibrahima Toure chief development officer. Toure has more than 20 years of transit industry experience overseeing operations, safety and business development. Meanwhile, RATP Dev was also selected by Sepulveda Transit Corridor Partners to develop the operations and maintenance component of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Sepulveda transit-rail project. The project, which aims to ease congestion on the Interstate 405 corridor between the San Fernando Valley and Westside, California, will develop two high-capacity rail options to take riders from one end of the corridor to the other in less than 20 minutes.

Nexxiot hired Akos Maroy as chief data officer. He will oversee the leveraging of asset and cargo data gathered by the company's asset intelligence technology. Maroy has more than 20 years of experience in digital deployments, strategy and innovation. He recently worked for Google and Meta as a software engineering manager.

Western IntermodeX announced the acquisition of Quickload Logistics to further solidify its commitment to the Prince Rupert community in British Columbia, Canada. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The transaction unlocks import transload capacity in Prince Rupert for the North American marketplace and helps IntermodeX expand its footprint there, company officials said in a press release.
