GE has reassigned three executives to key positions, including the top exec at GE Transportation. Russell Stokes will succeed Lorenzo Simonelli as president and chief executive officer of the transportation division. Simonelli was named president and CEO of GE Oil & Gas to succeed Dan Heintzelman, who has been named vice chairman of GE to focus on services and operations. A 16-year GE veteran, Stokes most recently served as VP of Global Services at GE Transportation. Previously, he was general manager for GE Aviation's Global Sourcing Organization.

Harsco Corp. announced an agreement to sell its Infrastructure division in a joint venture with Clayton, Dubilier & Rice under a transaction that will combine the division with Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services Inc. The combined company will provide specialized industrial services to the global energy and infrastructure sectors. Upon the transaction's closing, Harsco will receive $300 million in cash and a 29 percent equity stake in the combined business.

R.J. Corman Signaling L.L.C., a new subsidiary of R.J. Corman Railroad Group, plans to locate its regional headquarters in Orange Park, Fla., Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced in a press release issued earlier this month. The headquarters will be used to accelerate early stage growth in the company's engineering of railroad signal system design, wiring, construction, maintenance, packaging, material warehousing and logistics. Scott also posthumously awarded company founder Rick Corman with the Governor's Business Ambassador for his leadership in creating jobs for Florida's families. Corman died Aug. 23 at age 58 following a 12-year battle with multiple myeloma.

Nomad Digital has been chosen to install the new Eurostar e320 fleet with on-board passenger Wi-Fi service. Contracted by Siemens to supply Wi-Fi systems on 10 e320 trains, Nomad's technology will be installed on the new fleet ahead of delivery to Eurostar, according to a company press release.

GFS Corp. will add to its line of NG+D™ liquid natural gas (LNG) conversion systems and begin offering the EVO-LT System for the GE Transportation AC4400 and Dash-9 locomotives in early 2014, according to a GFS press release. The EVO-LT System is designed as a retrofit solution for the locomotives. The system will be compatible with industry standard LNG tender cars, and will include a hot fluids control system and tender car communications interface.

Parsons Brinckerhoff, in association with Fluor Corp., will provide project management consulting services for the design and construction of a new rail line between the Red Sea and Persian Gulf in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Landbridge project is a 590-mile double-track line connecting Jeddah on the Red Sea — the busiest port in Saudi Arabia — with the city of Riyadh.
