TTX Co. officials announced that Victoria Dudley will join the company as vice president and chief financial officer to succeed Kathleen Savard, who plans to retire this year. Dudley will be responsible for overseeing the current and long-term effectiveness of all financial functions. She has more than 25 years of corporate banking and finance experience. Most recently, Dudley served as assistant VP and treasurer at commercial fleet lessor Wheels Inc. Prior to her stint there, she served as VP and CFO for Yancey Brothers.

FreightCar America Inc. has named Robert Andress vice president of manufacturing. He will lead the company's new car manufacturing activities in Roanoke, Va., and Danville, Ill. Andress most recently was VP of Wabtec Corp.'s global transit business. He previously held business and operations leadership roles with VAE Nortrak, Delphi Automotive and other companies.

L.B. Foster Co. is changing the names of several subsidiary companies acquired from Portec Rail Products Inc. in December 2010. The subsidiaries will be rebranded under the name L.B. Foster Rail Technologies "to more accurately brand the innovative unit and better represent its rail product development capabilities," according to a company press release. L.B. Foster has completed the following name changes: Portec Rail Products Inc. to L.B. Foster Rail Technologies Inc.; Kelsan Technologies Corp. to L.B. Foster Rail Technologies Corp.; and Portec Rail Products (UK) Ltd. to L.B. Foster Rail Technologies (UK) Ltd.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is a member of the H-J-H Final Design Partners joint venture that was awarded a final design contract by Sound Transit for its East Link light-rail extension, Jacobs Engineering officials announced. The contract awarded to the joint venture is valued at $88 million. A joint venture of HNTB, Jacobs and Hatch Mott MacDonald, H-J-H will complete a seven-mile, double-track light-rail line, eight stations, a cut-and-cover tunnel in downtown Bellevue, Wash., and long-span bridge crossings over interstates 405 and 90 for the South Bellevue-to-Overlake Transit Center portion of the East Link extension.

MERMEC Inc. has obtained a contract with Iron Ore of Canada (IOC) to supply an inertial measurement system for checking the track geometry parameters and acquire full rail profile of 261 miles of the Labrador-Sept-Iles line in Quebec, Canada. MERMEC will equip an IOC measurement car with a track geometry measurement system based on contactless technology implemented by high precision optical and inertial sensors, according to a press release.

CANARAIL has established a new subsidiary in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where the company has secured new major contracts, according to a press release. "We see great potential in helping the fast-growing Mongolian mining industry to improve its infrastructure. This opening fits perfectly with our growth strategy in developing heavy haul/mining solutions worldwide," said CANARAIL President Miguel Valero in a prepared statement.
