RailComm completes blue flag automation system at BNSF fueling facility
advertisement
RailComm Inc. recently installed a wireless remote-control blue flag indicator system at BNSF Railway Co.'s Temple, Texas, fueling facility.
Designed to automate blue flag indication at both ends of the six-track facility, the system features a multi-point wireless data communication network based on RailComm's RADiANT™ data radio technology. Control panels installed two miles apart at each fueling pad are linked with blue flag indicators at the fueling zone's two ends.
The system enables BNSF to set or remove blue flags at either end of the fueling zone via remote control and decrease the amount of time needed to provide train protection.
RailComm markets machine-to-machine command, control, communication and information solutions to North American freight and passenger railroads, and other industries.
