Railinc recently launched a new tool for e-commerce Web site Steelroads.com. The customized parameter trace module will enable users to create parameters to track and trace rail equipment, and view corresponding waybill elements, estimated arrival times and trip data.

The site also features custom reporting tools to enable users to design tracing report layout and automatically deliver the reports. Shippers can use the tools to provide customers more accurate and timely shipment information, according to Railinc.

Steelroads.com provides shipment information for 460 North American railroads.
