Safetran Systems Corp. recently implemented Cordys Inc.’s business collaboration platform to improve information technology infrastructure.
The platform is designed to trace serial numbers across an entire product line. Safetran will use the platform to assign and manage serial numbers for components across its supply chain, including electronics, castings, and grade crossing protection and signal controls.
“The platform has improved overall visibility in key areas of our business, providing complete traceability throughout our product structure from assembly right through to customer installation,” said Safetran Manager of Quality Brian Weiss in a prepared statement.
Safetran supplies switch machines, signal relays, wayside signal systems, and transit-rail signaling and grade crossing active warning systems.
