Tealinc LLC, a rail-car leasing company and fleet management service provider, announced the retirement of founder and CEO Darell Luther, effective April 1. He served the rail industry for 38 years, founding Tealinc in 2002. “Darell didn’t just build a company, he created a lasting legacy driven by integrity, remarkable creativity and an extraordinary ability to deliver solutions that consistently provided outstanding customer value,” said Tealinc President Julie Mink in a press release. Luther will remain on the company's board and work closely with Mink, who has been president since 2015.
Motive Power Resources Inc., a supplier of rebuilt locomotives, components, electrical and mechanical parts, has been approved by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for the Reimagining Energy and Vehicles in Illinois tax credit program. To participate in the program, the company has committed to creating 16 new full time jobs at its Minooka, Illinois, facility above the existing baseline of 40 full-time employees; retaining 40 full-time jobs at the facility; and making a capital investment of at least $3.2 million. In return for meeting those measures, Motive Power will be eligible to receive tax credits for up to 10 years. Benefits include payroll tax withholding credits, training cost reimbursements, and income tax credits associated with construction wages and property investments.
Phoenix Contact USA, an industrial Ethernet switching platform for the energy, transportation and infrastructure industries, has formed a partnership with Xona to combine Phoenix's expertise with Xona’s secure remote access solutions. Xona’s Gateway system will be added to Phoenix's EP Raptor series switches to secure networking capabilities on operational technology infrastructure. The security method, zero-trust user access, requires users to verify their identity upon accessing the system, no matter where they are accessing it from.
