Rail News: Railroading Supplier Spotlight
The Timken Co. recently was awarded a contract to supply journal tapered roller bearings to Rotem Co., which is building an underground public-transportation system for Delhi Metro Rail Corp.
Because Timken has a facility in India, Rotem officials believe car repairs will be more convenient. Timken bearings are expected to help increase the system’s reliability, according to a prepared statement.
