U.S. Rep. Julia Letlow (R-La.) this week toured Willamette Valley Co.'s track component manufacturing and repair facility in Pineville, Louisiana.

Letlow met employees and took a tour led by Rob Loomis, vice president of performance products. Willamette Valley is a member of the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) and the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC). Loomis serves on the REMSA board.

Letlow and company representatives discussed supply-chain issues and critical infrastructure, including expectations for the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

"The supply-chain crisis is one of the top concerns we have in Congress," Letlow said in a press release. "I appreciate the opportunity to meet with some of the employees at Willamette Valley's Pineville location who are working to address this problem and keep critical goods flowing throughout our region."

Willamette Valley has been in the wood products industry since its establishment in 1952. The company specializes in coatings, fillers, adhesives, robotics, parts and engineering.

Letlow serves on the House Committee on Appropriations; the Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration; and the Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs.
