CN forms partnership with Earth Rangers

CN yesterday announced it has forged a new partnership with Earth Rangers, a youth-focused Canadian environmental charity, to encourage CN employees and their families to participate in the EcoConnexions sustainability program.

In 2011, CN and Earth Day Canada launched EcoConnexions to embed sustainability into the corporate culture through targeted initiatives that reduce energy consumption, minimize waste and improve housekeeping practices at the Class I's yards and offices across North America.

"We are excited to extend the EcoConnexions with Earth Rangers to the families of CN railroaders. This partnership is a strong strategic fit given our collective concern for a more sustainable future," said CN President and Chief Executive Officer JJ Ruest in a press release.

Founded in 2004, Earth Rangers has grown to be the largest youth environmental organization by membership globally, with more than 250,000 current members and alumni.
