Union Pacific Corp. has elected Jack Koraleski as chairman and David Dillon, as a board member.

Currently chief executive officer, Koraleski, 63, succeeds the late Jim Young, who was chairman from January 2007 until his death on Feb. 15. Since joining the railroad in 1972, Koraleski has served in a number of senior leadership roles, including controller, executive vice president of marketing and sales, and EVP of finance and information technology. He was named president and CEO in March 2012, and became a board member in July 2012.

Koraleski is a member of the national advisory committee for the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska Omaha, an honorary board member of the Nebraska Methodist Hospital and Nebraska Methodist Hospital Foundation, and an advisory board member of the Women's Center for Advancement.

Dillon is chairman of The Kroger Co., which operates more than 3,700 supermarkets, convenience and jewelry stores in 34 states and the District of Columbia. He has served Kroger in various leadership roles since 1990, including CEO, president and chief operating officer, and EVP.
