Union Pacific Railroad has launched a domestic intermodal service that connects growing industrial markets in Mexico to the southeastern United States.
In a customer advisory, the Class I said the service introduces the largest influx of intermodal capacity for the southeast United States market out of Mexico.
"It also reinforces Union Pacific's steadfast commitment to serving Mexico markets, helps take trucks off congested highways, and offers customers a complete transportation solution for business traversing this key trade corridor," UP's advisory states.
UP offers service originating on Grupo Mexico Transportes from Monterray and Silao in Mexico, through UP’s crossing at Eagle Pass, Texas.
