UP honored as Home Depot's rail carrier of the year

Union Pacific Railroad has been recognized by The Home Depot as its 2023 Rail Carrier of the Year.

The recognition marks the third time in four years that the railroad received the honor, according to UP's Inside Track blog. The Home Depot recognized UP's efforts to partner on key initiatives, provide superior lead time and switch execution, and become a leader in rail service metrics.

"We are proud to serve The Home Depot with operational excellence, and we look forward to a continued partnership," said Jacque Bendon, UP senior vice president of industrial products. "This recognition shows what is possible when our team works together to provide a great service product.”

UP received the award at The Home Depot's annual Executive Carrier Conference.
