UP earns top Toyota Logistics award for third-straight year

Toyota Logistics Services recently presented Union Pacific Railroad a 2010 Toyota Logistics Excellence Award, the third-straight year the Class I has attained the honor.
The award recognizes the top transportation supplier that excels in communication, responsiveness, equipment supply, business controls, collaboration and overall ease of doing business, according to Toyota Logistics. The shipper determines winners based on survey results.
“Union Pacific strives to deliver the best possible service, and it is a great achievement to be recognized by customers for our accomplishments,” said Linda Brandl, UP vice president and general manager-automotive, in a prepared statement.
Toyota Logistics also recently presented a 2010 President’s Award and On-Time Performance Award for rail transportation to BNSF Railway Co.
